How to add a free chat room to your website or blog with 1freechat.com
If you have a website or blog and would like a video chat room for free, we have made it really easy for you to do. We have 2 different types of chat room that you can add to your own site, HTML Chat and a Chat Bar. You can add any version to as many webpages as you like by pasting a piece of code where you would like the chat room to appear on your site.
HTML Chat Rooms
Our HTML chat rooms will work on any device and will auto detect mobile and tabs or non flash devices. If you use this code it will also auto detect a flash enabled device so that your end user can enjoy using webcams within the chat room or text chat should his/her device not allow flash content.
To add this chat room to your website or blog, simply copy and past the code below to where you would like the chat room to appear…
<!-- CHAT CODE BEGIN -->
<div name="html5chat" id="html5chat">
<iframe HEIGHT="642" WIDTH="100%" src="http://1freechat.com:35555/htmlchat/123flashchat.html?init_host_s=18.104.22.168&init_host_h=22.214.171.124&init_room=14&init_user=Chatter" vspale="0" scrolling="no" noresize="noresize" name="htmlchat" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" framespacing="0" frameborder="0" border="0" />
<!-- CHAT CODE END -->
You can change the width to any size you like. although this is not needed as it is already set to 100% which will make it responsive to your website theme width size. You can change the height by editing the HEIGHT=”642″ to a different number to match your page, the height is measured in pixels. Another thing you can change is the username that is given to a chatter when they enter the chat room, currently it is set to “Chatter”, change this to anything you like, maximum character length is 30. The code is set to send chatters directly into our “Meeting Place” chat room, however, if you would like to display a room list instead, delete the part of the code that says
&init_room=14 this will display a list of chat rooms instead of auto entry into the Meeting Place.
The chat bar is a bar that runs responsively at the bottom of any webpage and allows the user to open the chat rooms and hide them whenever they like with the click of a button. It is very similar to the chat bar you will find on Facebook but rather than one to one conversations, it will open the group chat rooms. To add the Chat Bar to your webpage, simply copy and past the code below to where you would like it to appear on your site or blog or paste it in the header or footer to appear on all pages.
<!-- CHAT BAR CODE BEGIN -->
var topcmm_flashchat_init_host_s = "126.96.36.199";
var topcmm_flashchat_init_port_s =51128;
var topcmm_flashchat_init_host_h ="188.8.131.52";
var topcmm_flashchat_init_port_h =35555;
<!-- CHAT BAR CODE END -->
You can change various settings, width=779 to match your site width or use 100% to make it responsive and you can change
var init_user="Chatter"; Chatter to the username you would like your users to use when they enter the chat, a random number will be placed after any username you choose. Once again the limit for your chatter username is 30 characters.
So there you go, probably the easiest way to add a video or text chat room to any website, blog or page instantly and best of all it is totally free and uses zero server resources as we host the chat rooms on our server.
